Dr. Megan Boysen Osborn has accepted the position of
associate residency director in the Department of Emergency Medicine and
co-course director for Clinical Foundations.
In her role, she will assist
the program director and expand on her research interests, which include
resident assessment methods and curriculum design in emergency medicine. She
will also provide care to patients at our Emergency Department in
Orange.
Dr. Boysen Osborn has received more than 15 honors and awards,
including the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) National Resident of
the Year Award in 2009. She has been published in nine peer-reviewed
publications and has a textbook chapter to her credit. Dr. Boysen Osborn is also
a reviewer for the Western Journal of Emergency
Medicine.
Dr. Boysen Osborn obtained her medical degree from
UC Irvine School of Medicine and completed her residency in emergency medicine
at UC Irvine Medical Center. During this time, she also served as national
president of the AAEM resident/student organization.
She
completed an academic and administrative fellowship at Stanford University
Hospital and is participating in the Master of Health Professions Education program at the
University of Illinois, Chicago.
